Exxon Mobil Announces Leadership Change

Exxon Mobil announced on Tuesday that Dan Ammann, the former president of General Motors, will become the president of its oil and gas production division, effective February 1, 2025.

Ammann has been with Exxon for two years, leading the company's Low Carbon Solutions unit. In his new role, he will oversee Exxon's Upstream business unit, which has contributed more than two-thirds of the company's operating profit this year.

Exxon CEO Darren Woods said, "These appointments continue the company's approach of leveraging the diverse skills and experiences of a very accomplished executive team to bring fresh perspectives and approaches to each of our exceptionally talented organizations."
