Spain's Inflation Eases in April

The annual inflation rate in Spain slightly decreased to 2.2% in April, down from 2.3% in March, as reported by the National Statistics Institute (INE). This figure was slightly higher than what many analysts had anticipated.

Monthly and Core Inflation Trends

On a month-on-month basis, the inflation rate saw an increase of 0.6%. Meanwhile, the core inflation rate, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, maintained a steady growth of 2.4% both yearly and monthly.

Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) remained unchanged at 2.2% compared to the previous year but experienced a 0.6% rise over the month.
