Spain's Inflation Rate Shows a Slight Decrease in April
The annual inflation rate in Spain slightly decreased to 2.2% in April, down from 2.3% in March, according to the preliminary report released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Tuesday. This figure was slightly higher than what many had anticipated.

Monthly and Core Inflation Rates
On a month-on-month basis, the inflation figure saw an increase of 0.6%. Meanwhile, the core inflation rate, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, grew by 2.4% both yearly and monthly.
Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)
The HICP remained steady at 2.2% compared to April 2024, with a monthly rise of 0.6%, indicating a stable but cautious economic outlook for Spain.
