Philadelphia Fed Welcomes Anna Paulson as New President

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has made a significant announcement this Thursday, revealing that Anna Paulson, currently serving as the Chicago Fed's executive vice president and director of research, will take the helm as its new president starting July 1.

A New Era Begins

"Anna Paulson's role as president will see her influencing monetary policy through her position on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). Additionally, she will oversee the Bank’s payment services, bank supervision, and community engagement efforts. Her leadership is expected to foster strong relationships with business leaders and community representatives, offering fresh insights into the Third District’s economy," stated the Philadelphia Fed in an official release.

Passing the Torch

Paulson is set to replace Patrick Harker, who will retire in June after a decade of service at the Philadelphia Fed's forefront.
