US Natural Gas Storage Sees Significant Weekly Increase Amid Yearly Decline

Weekly Storage Update

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a notable increase in U.S. natural gas storage, with a rise of 16 billion cubic feet (Bcf) for the week ending April 11. This brings the total working gas storage to 1,846 Bcf.

Yearly Comparison

Despite the weekly gain, the current stocks show a significant decline of 480 Bcf compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the figures remain 74 Bcf below the five-year average of 1,920 Bcf.

However, the total working gas is still within the five-year historical range, indicating a stable but cautious outlook for natural gas storage levels.
