The BMW Group announced a significant downturn in its financial performance for the fiscal year 2024, with revenues falling by 8.4% to €142.4 billion compared to the previous year. This decline reflects the challenges faced by the automotive giant in a rapidly changing market environment.

Profit and Deliveries Decline

Net profit for the year took a sharp dive, decreasing by 36.9% year-over-year to €7.7 billion. Earnings per share also saw a substantial drop, falling by 34.2% to €11.64. Furthermore, BMW reported a 4% decrease in deliveries within its automotive segment, totaling 2,450,854 units for the year.

Looking Ahead: The NEUE KLASSE and Beyond

Despite these setbacks, BMW remains optimistic about the future. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMW AG, Norbert Reithofer, highlighted the company's ambitious plans for 2025, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming NEUE KLASSE launch. "This will mark a key milestone in the history of the BMW Group," Reithofer stated, underscoring the company's commitment to innovation and long-term success through a balanced approach to value creation and an attractive product range.
