In the fourth quarter of 2024, Daimler Truck reported a revenue of €14.3 billion, marking a 4% decrease from the previous year's figures. Despite this downturn, the company's financial performance surpassed analysts' forecasts.

Earnings and Sales Insights

The adjusted EBIT saw a significant reduction, falling by 29% to €1.1 billion compared to the same period in 2023. Earnings per share also declined by 36% to €0.95. Group sales experienced an 11% drop to 124,386 units, whereas incoming orders increased by 15% to 124,046 units annually.

2025 Outlook and CEO's Statement

Looking ahead to 2025, Daimler Truck anticipates an adjusted return on sales ranging between 8% and 10%, contingent on macroeconomic and geopolitical factors. CEO Karin Radstrom highlighted the strong performance of Trucks North America and Daimler Buses, the success of Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Brazil despite weak European demand, and the solid operational results of Trucks Asia amidst challenging market conditions.
