Foxconn Reports a 13% Drop in Q4 Net Income, Yet AI Server Business Soars

Foxconn's Financial Performance in Q4 2024

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., widely recognized as Foxconn, announced a net income of 46.3 billion New Taiwan dollars (approximately $1.4 billion) for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024. This marks a 13% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year.

Despite the decline in net income, the company experienced a 17% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching 2.1 trillion New Taiwan dollars. Earnings per share also saw a decrease, dropping by 13% to 3.34 New Taiwan dollars from the previous year's figures.

Future Prospects: AI Server Business

Foxconn is optimistic about its future, particularly its artificial intelligence (AI) server business, which is projected to grow by more than 100% in the first quarter of fiscal 2025 compared to the same period last year. This growth indicates a strong potential for recovery and expansion in the company's operations.
