HYDERABAD: In a significant move to bolster India's digital infrastructure, CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, a Rated-4 data centre operator, has announced plans to invest Rs 500 crore in setting up a greenfield 12mw data centre in Bhopal. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to be a game-changer for the region's digital ecosystem.

Strategic Location and Economic Impact

The data centre will be developed on a five-acre plot at the Badwai IT Park, allocated by the Madhya Pradesh government. It is projected to create approximately 200 jobs in phases and generate an annual SGST and CGST of Rs 7.5 crore each at full capacity.

Equipped with advanced cooling and security systems, the AI-ready data centre aims to support high-performance cloud computing, AI, and data processing applications, marking a significant step forward in India's digital transformation journey.

Government Support and Policy Alignment

The project aligns with Madhya Pradesh's IT, ITeS & ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023 and the Global Capability Centers Policy 2025, aiming to attract hi-tech investments and achieve a $2 trillion economy by 2047.
