Turkey Sees a Slight Dip in Inflation Rates from 42.12% to 39.05% in February

Turkey's Inflation Eases in February

In a recent report released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, it was revealed that Turkey's annual inflation rate decreased to 39.05% in February from 42.12% in January. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a month-on-month increase of 2.27%.

Key Sectors Affected: The report highlighted that 'Clothing and footwear' experienced the lowest annual increase at 20.84%, whereas 'Education' saw the highest annual increase at a staggering 94.90%.

Core CPI Insights: Excluding volatile items such as energy, food, non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold, the core CPI rose by 40.21% year over year in February. On a monthly basis, the core inflation rate was recorded at 1.80%.
