Toyota Sets Ambitious Goal: 9.9 Million Vehicles by 2025, Signaling Strong Recovery

Toyota's Global Production Ambitions

Toyota Motor Corp. has set its sights on a significant milestone, aiming to manufacture approximately 9.9 million vehicles globally by fiscal 2025. This ambitious target includes both Toyota and Lexus brand vehicles, showcasing the company's confidence in its recovery and growth trajectory.

Domestic and International Production Plans

According to a report by the Japanese newspaper Nikkan Jidosha Shimbun, Toyota plans to produce around 3.3 million vehicles in Japan and 6.6 million in its overseas factories. This balanced approach between domestic and international production underscores Toyota's global strategy and its commitment to maintaining a strong presence in both markets.

Recovery from Challenges

The automaker's optimistic production forecast comes on the heels of strong sales of hybrid cars and a notable recovery from a vehicle testing scandal. The scandal had previously led to the suspension of three of its models, but Toyota's resilience and strategic adjustments have paved the way for this ambitious rebound.
