In a shocking incident that underscores the volatile nature of political and personal disputes in Jammu, Advocate Kanav Sharma, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s Jammu wing, was shot and injured. The altercation, stemming from a parking feud, took place in the Roop Nagar area on Friday.

The Incident Details

According to police sources, the incident occurred around 2:15 PM when a scuffle broke out between Sharma and Harvinder Singh, an employee of the electricity department, over parking space opposite a transformer station. The argument escalated quickly, leading Singh to fire two shots at Sharma. One bullet hit Sharma in the abdomen, while the other missed its target.

Aftermath and Investigation

Sharma was immediately rushed to Sarwal government hospital and later referred to Jammu GMC for further treatment. His condition is reported to be stable. SP Jammu (North) Vivek Shekhar confirmed that a case has been registered, and investigations are underway to uncover the motive behind this attack.
