China's Economic Outlook for 2024

In a significant announcement, Chinese President Xi Jinping projected that China's gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by approximately 5% in 2024. During his address at the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), President Xi emphasized the importance of implementing further measures and reforms to enhance these growth figures in the coming years.

Call for Strategic Resolve

President Xi called upon the CPPCC to adopt a "strategic resolve" that would empower the Chinese people to "cut through the waves and forge ahead with courage" by 2025. He highlighted the challenges ahead, stating, "On the journey of Chinese modernization, we will not only encounter clear skies and gentle breezes, but also face high winds, choppy waters, and even dangerous storms."
