Japan's Service Sector Shows Improvement in November

According to a preliminary report released by S&P Global on Wednesday, Japan's service sector improved in November, with the main figure rising to 50.5.

The seasonally adjusted figure showed the Jibun Bank Japan Services Business Activity Index landing above the neutral 50, marking an overall growth in the sector and an increase from last month's figure of 50.2.

S&P Global Market Intelligence economist Usamah Bhatti said in the report, "The Japanese services economy experienced a renewed upswing in growth in the penultimate month of the year, as a sustained improvement in demand and stronger client confidence led to a renewed increase in output and held new business growth at a steady pace."
