Spain's Inflation Rate Shows a Marginal Decline
The annual inflation rate in Spain experienced a slight decrease to 2.2% in April, down from 2.3% in March, as reported by the National Statistics Institute (INE). This figure was slightly higher than what analysts had anticipated.

Monthly and Core Inflation Trends
On a month-on-month basis, inflation saw an increase of 0.6%. Meanwhile, the core inflation rate, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose by 2.4% both yearly and monthly.
Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices
The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) remained stable at 2.2% compared to the previous year and also noted a 0.6% increase over the month.
