Hitachi Energy Boosts Virginia Economy with $22.5 Million Investment and 120 New Jobs

Hitachi Energy's Expansion in Virginia

Japan's Hitachi Energy, Ltd. is set to make a significant investment in Virginia, with plans to invest $22.5 million to enhance its operations in Bland County and establish a new warehouse facility in Atkins. This ambitious project is expected to create 120 new jobs, marking a substantial boost to the local economy.

Modernizing Bland Facility

Of the total investment, $12.5 million will be allocated to modernize the company's existing facility in Bland, creating 80 new jobs. The upgrades aim to increase manufacturing capacity and improve assembly capabilities, ensuring Hitachi Energy remains at the forefront of energy infrastructure development.

New Warehouse in Atkins

In addition to the Bland facility upgrades, Hitachi Energy has acquired a 75,000-square-foot facility in Smyth County for its new warehouse. This expansion underscores the company's long-term commitment to Virginia and its confidence in the region's workforce and innovative spirit.
