Lodha Brothers' Legal Feud Escalates Over Alleged Document Forgery in Goa Project

Lodha vs Lodha: A Battle Over Brand Name and Alleged Forgery

In a dramatic escalation of their ongoing legal battle, Abhishek Lodha's Macrotech Developers has accused entities under his younger brother Abhinandan Lodha's House of Abhinandan Lodha of fabricating documents to unlawfully use the 'Lodha' brand name for a project in Goa.

Macrotech, one of India's premier real estate companies, alleges that a fake board resolution dated July 22, 2022, was created to grant permission for the use of the 'Lodha' name, a resolution that Macrotech claims never existed. "No board meeting of the company has been held on the date which is stated in these board resolution, and the company's board has never considered or approved such board resolutions in any of its meetings whatsoever," stated Macrotech in its disclosure.

A spokesperson for Lodha Ventures, operating under the House of Abhinandan Lodha, responded, "House of Abhinandan Lodha does not admit any of the allegations of fraud and forgery sought to be attributed to us," indicating an internal review of the matter.

The dispute highlights the bitter rivalry between the Lodha siblings over the copyright of the 'Lodha' brand name in their respective real estate ventures, with allegations of document forgery adding a new layer to their legal feud.
