This growth highlights a robust consumer demand and a positive economic trend.

Monthly and Nominal Figures Also Show Positive Trends

On a monthly basis, the turnover in retail trade saw a 0.8% increase. In nominal terms, the scenario was even more promising, with retail sales soaring by 5.9% annually and advancing by 0.8% from the previous month.

Food and Non-Food Retail Sectors Both Flourish

The food retail sector witnessed a 0.8% month-on-month and a 3.3% year-on-year increase in real terms. Similarly, the non-food retail trade enjoyed a 0.6% rise compared to January and a significant 5.2% jump from February 2024, indicating widespread growth across the board.
