The United States job market showed signs of stability in February, with job openings holding steady at 7.6 million, according to the latest report from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The job opening rate remained unchanged at 4.5%, mirroring the figures from January.

Hires and Separations Remain Unchanged

The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) revealed that both the number of hires and the hires rate stayed constant at 5.4 million and 3.4%, respectively. Similarly, the total separations and the separations rate were unchanged at 5.3 million and 3.3%.

Quits Rate Holds Steady

The quits rate, a measure of voluntary separations, also remained stable at 2%, with 3.2 million quits recorded in February, indicating a consistent level of worker confidence in the job market.
