The annual inflation rate in Tokyo's Ku-area stayed at 2.9% in March, mirroring February's figures, as reported by the Statistics Bureau of Japan this Friday.

Key CPI Metrics Show Slight Increases

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), excluding fresh food and energy, experienced a modest rise to 1.1%, up from 0.8% the previous month. Meanwhile, the CPI excluding only fresh food slightly exceeded expectations, registering at 2.4%, a notch above February's 2.2%.
