Former Britannia CEO Rajneet Kohli is set to lead Hindustan Unilever's (HUL) foods business, marking a significant shift in leadership as the company aims to strengthen its position in the competitive food sector. Kohli's appointment, effective from April 7, follows the departure of Shiva Krishnamurthy, who is pursuing opportunities outside HUL.

A Veteran's Journey to HUL

With over two decades of experience in consumer goods and retail, Kohli's expertise is expected to drive HUL's foods business to new heights. His previous roles at Britannia, Jubilant Foodworks, The Coca-Cola Company, and Asian Paints have equipped him with a deep understanding of the market dynamics and consumer preferences.

HUL's Strategic Focus on Foods

The foods business, HUL's second-largest segment after home care, includes renowned brands like Knorr, Brooke Bond, and Kissan, generating revenues exceeding Rs 3,000 crore in the December quarter. Under Kohli's leadership, HUL is poised to explore high-growth areas and innovate to meet the evolving demands of consumers.
