Industrial Production Takes a Hit in France
According to the latest report from INSEE, France's statistical office, the country's industrial production experienced a 0.6% decrease in January compared to the previous month.

Manufacturing and Construction Output Decline
Manufacturing output wasn't spared either, with a 0.7% drop month on month. The construction sector faced a sharper decline, decreasing by 3.8% from December. The production of capital goods, which saw a 1.9% decrease, was a significant factor in the manufacturing downturn.
Year-on-Year Comparison
When compared to the same period last year, the overall industrial output fell by 1.3%. The manufacturing sector's output dropped by 2.1%, and construction output decreased by 3.5%.
