Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has announced an impressive 85% rise in consolidated net profit for the December quarter, reaching Rs 474 crore. This significant increase is attributed to higher revenues from power supply, showcasing the company's strong performance in the renewable energy sector.

Expansion and Innovation in Renewable Energy

The company is making strides in developing the world's largest renewable energy (RE) plant in Khavda, Gujarat, alongside large-scale projects in Rajasthan and other locations. CEO Amit Singh highlighted the company's updated strategy, which now includes the large-scale deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), thanks to significant cost reductions in recent quarters.

Operational Growth and Future Prospects

AGEL's operational capacity has seen a 37% year-on-year increase to 11,609 MW, with the addition of 3,131 MW of new power plants. The company has contributed significantly to solar and wind installations nationwide, with energy sales increasing by 23% YoY to 20,108 million units in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2024. This growth underscores AGEL's commitment to leading the renewable energy sector and its potential for future expansion.
