State Bank of Vietnam Updates Reference Rate
The State Bank of Vietnam has also made a slight adjustment, lowering its reference rate by 0.02% to VND24,333. This change is indicative of the central bank's response to the current economic climate.
Global Dollar Steadies
On a global scale, the dollar has shown signs of steadiness after a period of fluctuation. This comes in the wake of cooling U.S. inflation and falling bond yields. The yen, on the other hand, has reached a one-month high, fueled by speculation of a rate hike in Japan.
The euro remained largely stable following the U.S. inflation data, holding steady at $1.0283 through the Asia trading day. Meanwhile, the dollar index has slightly increased to 109.18, marking a pause in its recent downward trend.
