TVS Motors Reports Significant Sales Growth in December FY25

NEW DELHI: TVS Motor Company has announced a remarkable 7% increase in monthly sales for December 2024, selling 321,687 units compared to 301,898 units in the same month last year. This growth is a testament to the company's strong market presence and innovative product offerings.

Two-Wheeler Segment Shows Robust Growth

The company's two-wheeler segment experienced an 8% rise in sales, from 290,064 units in December 2023 to 312,002 units in December 2024. Domestic sales remained stable, with a slight increase to 215,075 units from 214,988 units a year earlier.

Electric Vehicle Segment Soars

TVS Motors' electric vehicle (EV) segment saw an extraordinary 79% growth, with sales jumping to 20,171 units from 11,288 units in December 2023. This surge highlights the growing consumer shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation options.

Exports and Three-Wheeler Sales

Exports increased by 22%, reaching 104,393 units in December 2024 from 85,391 units in the previous year. However, three-wheeler sales saw a decline, dropping to 9,685 units from 11,834 units in December 2023.

Quarterly Performance

For the third quarter of the 2024-25 financial year, TVS recorded an 11% increase in two-wheeler sales, totaling 11.8 lakh units compared to 10.6 lakh units in the same period of 2023-24. This performance underscores the company's resilience and adaptability in a competitive market.
