Boeing Announces Nearly 400 Layoffs in Washington State Amid Cost-Cutting Measures

Boeing to Reduce Workforce in Washington State

In a recent WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice, The Boeing Company revealed its plan to lay off 396 staff members across Washington State. The layoffs are scheduled to begin on February 21, as part of the company's broader cost-reduction strategy announced in October.

At that time, Boeing disclosed its intention to cut approximately 17,000 jobs in the coming months. CEO Kelly Ortberg emphasized the necessity for Boeing to "reset its workforce levels to align with our financial reality." This move underscores the company's ongoing efforts to streamline operations and adapt to current market conditions.
