Spain's Inflation Rate Shows a Slight Decrease in April

The annual inflation rate in Spain has slightly decreased to 2.2% in April, down from 2.3% in March, according to the preliminary report released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Tuesday. This figure was slightly higher than what many had anticipated.

Monthly and Core Inflation Rates

On a month-on-month basis, the inflation rate experienced a 0.6% increase. Meanwhile, the core inflation rate showed a steady growth, marking a 2.4% increase both yearly and monthly.

Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) remained unchanged at 2.2% compared to April 2024, with a monthly rise of 0.6%.
