In a significant development, Spain's electricity grid operator, Red Electrica, announced on Monday the commencement of power restoration in various parts of the country. This follows a massive blackout that affected the Iberian Peninsula, leaving many without electricity.

"We are starting to recover power in the north and south of the peninsula, which is key to progressively meet the electricity supply," Red Electrica stated in a post on X. The operator emphasized that the process involves a gradual energization of the transmission grid as generation groups are coupled, underscoring their ongoing efforts to fully restore supply.
