April 2025 Bank Holidays Overview
According to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) schedule, all banks across the country, including both public and private sector institutions, will be closed on Saturday, April 26, 2025. This closure is part of the RBI's bi-monthly weekend policy, which designates the second and fourth Saturdays of each month as bank holidays, with operations continuing on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays when applicable.

Digital Banking Services Remain Available
While physical bank branches will be inaccessible on April 26, 2025, customers can still access a wide range of services through digital banking platforms. These include internet banking, mobile applications, ATMs, and telephone banking, allowing for transactions such as account balance enquiries, money transfers, and utility payments.
Additional Bank Holidays in April 2025
April 29 (Tuesday) – Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti: Banks in Himachal Pradesh will remain closed to observe the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram.
April 30 (Wednesday) – Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya: Banking establishments in Karnataka will be closed to celebrate Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya, a day considered auspicious for financial prosperity.
Planning Ahead
It's advisable for bank customers to organize their banking needs ahead of these holidays to avoid any inconvenience. Significant transactions requiring branch assistance should be planned outside of these bank holidays.
