Japan's Hitachi Energy, Ltd. is set to transform Virginia's energy infrastructure with a whopping $22.5 million investment. This strategic move aims to modernize its Bland County operations and introduce a new warehouse in Atkins, promising to create 120 new jobs and bolster the local economy.
Modernization and Expansion
With $12.5 million dedicated to upgrading the Bland facility, Hitachi Energy is not just expanding its physical footprint but also its workforce, adding 80 new jobs. The enhancements are designed to increase manufacturing capacity and improve assembly processes, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of energy innovation.

Steve McKinney, Senior Vice President at Hitachi Energy, emphasized Virginia's pivotal role in the company's 50-year manufacturing legacy.
