Eurozone Trade Surplus Sees Significant Growth

The Eurozone's international trade surplus in goods reached an impressive €24 billion in February, marking a substantial increase from January's revised figure of €0.8 billion and surpassing the €21.7 billion surplus recorded in February 2024, according to Eurostat's latest report.

EU Trade Performance Also on the Rise

Similarly, the entire European Union reported a trade surplus of €23 billion in February, up from €21.8 billion in the same period last year, showcasing a robust economic performance across the region.

Exports and Imports Show Healthy Growth

Exports from the euro area totaled €248.7 billion in February, experiencing a 6.2% increase year-over-year. Imports to the region also saw a significant rise, growing by 5.7% compared to the previous year, reaching €224.7 billion.

Across the EU, exports surged to €225.4 billion, a 7% increase annually, while imports climbed by 7.2% to €202.4 billion, indicating a vibrant trade activity within the bloc.
