Investigation Unveiled
The World Economic Forum (WEF) announced on Wednesday the initiation of an investigation into its founder and former Chair, Klaus Schwab. This comes after Schwab stepped down from his position, amidst allegations brought to light by a whistleblower.

Allegations Surface
According to the WEF, the probe is based on a whistleblower letter containing serious allegations against Schwab. The organization has chosen not to disclose further details, stating the investigation was launched "after consultation with external legal counsel and in line with the Forum's fiduciary responsibilities."
Wall Street Journal Report
The announcement followed a report by the Wall Street Journal, which alleged that Schwab and his wife, Hilde, misappropriated WEF funds for personal gain. The report suggests that the couple mixed "their personal affairs with the Forum’s resources without proper oversight," leading to an emergency board meeting and Schwab's immediate resignation.
