Airline Adjustments and Passenger Notifications

Airlines such as IndiGo and Akasa have begun notifying passengers about the terminal changes. IndiGo has emphasized the importance of checking the departure and arrival terminals via their website or mobile app before heading to the airport.

Akasa also advised passengers to verify their flight statuses in light of the terminal shifts, ensuring a smooth travel experience.

Enhancing Passenger Connectivity Between Terminals

Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) is implementing measures to facilitate smoother transfers for passengers, especially those with connecting flights between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Trials are underway for airside baggage transfers to minimize inconvenience.

DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar highlighted efforts to ensure that passengers can transition between terminals within 120 minutes, acknowledging the current challenges posed by the lack of an air train connection.
