Hyundai Stands Firm: Freezes US Vehicle Prices Amid Rising Tariff Concerns

Hyundai Shields Customers from Tariff Impact

In a bold move to protect its customers from the unpredictable waves of tariff changes and market fluctuations, Hyundai Motor America announced a groundbreaking initiative. From now until June 2, 2025, buyers or lessees of Hyundai vehicles will enjoy a guaranteed Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) freeze. This commitment is part of Hyundai's broader strategy to ensure stability and trust among its American clientele.

Leadership Speaks on Stability and Trust

Jose Munoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, emphasized the company's dedication to its customers. "Understanding the consumer's anxiety over potential price hikes, we're stepping up to offer certainty in these uncertain times. Our MSRP guarantee is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional vehicles to the American market," Munoz stated.

Automakers Unite in Response to Tariffs

Hyundai's initiative mirrors actions taken by industry peers. Stellantis, overseeing brands like Jeep and Dodge, has opened employee pricing to all. Similarly, Ford's "From America, For America" campaign invites customers to buy 2024 and 2025 models at employee rates. These measures come in the wake of the US government's imposition of a 25% tariff on imported vehicles, signaling a collective industry response to safeguard consumer interests.
