Hyundai Stands Firm: Freezes US Vehicle Prices Amid Rising Tariff Concerns

Hyundai's Bold Move to Protect Consumers

In a significant step to safeguard its customers from the unpredictable waves of tariff impacts and fluctuating market dynamics, Hyundai Motor America has announced a groundbreaking initiative. Effective until June 2, 2025, the automaker guarantees no increase in the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for buyers or lessees of Hyundai vehicles during this period.

A Message of Stability from Hyundai's Leadership

"Understanding the consumer's anxiety over potential price hikes, we're committed to offering stability in these uncertain times. Our MSRP guarantee is a cornerstone of our comprehensive strategy to deliver exceptional vehicles to the American market," stated Jose Munoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.

Industry-Wide Responses to Tariff Changes

This initiative mirrors actions taken by other automotive giants. Stellantis, overseeing brands like Jeep and Dodge, is extending employee pricing to all customers. Similarly, Ford has rolled out its "From America, For America" promotion, enabling purchases of 2024 and 2025 models at employee rates. These measures come in the wake of the US government's imposition of a 25% tariff on vehicles manufactured abroad.
