Global Oil Market Shifts: Fuel Prices Hit 5-Week High Amid U.S. Tariffs and Inventory Changes

Recent Fuel Price Adjustments

RON95 has seen a significant increase of 2.40%, now priced at VND20,910 (US$0.81) per liter.

Similarly, Biofuel E5 RON92 experienced a 1.70% rise, reaching VND20,370.

Diesel prices weren't spared, with a 1.43% hike to VNBD18,470.

Factors Influencing the Market

Authorities attribute these adjustments to several global factors, notably an uptick in U.S. crude oil inventories.

The imposition of a 10% tariff on all imported goods by the U.S., with Vietnam facing a steep 46% tariff, has further exacerbated the situation.

Impact on Global Oil Prices

These developments have propelled RON95 prices up by 3.1% to $84.86 per barrel, while Diesel increased by 1.7% to $87.46.
