Gold Prices Dip as Market Reacts to Global Tensions
Saigon Jewelry Company reported a 0.68% drop in gold bar prices to VND101.5 million (US$3,933.36) per tael, with gold ring prices also falling by 0.39% to VND101.4 million per tael. Despite these declines, gold has seen a significant 20.5% increase since the start of the year.

Internationally, gold prices experienced a 0.5% decrease, settling at $3,097.99 an ounce. This adjustment comes as investors navigate the uncertainties sparked by recent U.S. tariff measures under President Donald Trump's administration. However, gold remains on track for its fifth consecutive weekly gain, bolstered by its status as a safe-haven asset.

"Gold's appeal tends to surge during periods of unpredictable uncertainty," noted Ilya Spivak, head of global macro at Tastylive. "However, once the market begins to understand and price in these risks, some of gold's premium from market confusion diminishes."
