Spain's Strategic Response to US Tariffs
In a decisive move to safeguard its economy, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has unveiled a comprehensive €14.1 billion plan aimed at mitigating the impact of tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump. "Today, we deploy the Trade Response and Relaunch Plan to protect our economy from the trade war initiated by the Trump administration," Sanchez declared at La Moncloa.
Key Components of the Plan: The initiative is structured around €7.4 billion in new capital, supplemented by an additional €6.7 billion from existing financial instruments. Highlighting the plan's focus, Sanchez announced, "We are establishing a €200 million fund for industrial investment and allocating €400 million in support for the vehicle industry."
