Stellantis Streamlines Operations with Voluntary Job Cuts
In a strategic move to streamline its operations in Italy, Stellantis has reached an agreement with trade unions for 350 voluntary job cuts at its Pomigliano and Pratola Serra plants in southern Italy. This decision primarily targets employees who are nearing retirement, aligning with the company's broader operational efficiency goals.
Details of the Job Cuts
According to the Fiom union, which chose not to endorse the agreement, the cuts will see 300 positions eliminated at the Pomigliano car assembly site and an additional 50 at the Pratola Serra engine facility. This development is part of Stellantis's previously announced plans to optimize its workforce and operational footprint in the country.
