HAL Achieves Record Revenue of Rs 30,400 Crore Amidst Supply Chain Challenges for LCA

Defense PSU HAL Reports Marginal Revenue Growth Despite Supply Chain Hurdles

BENGALURU: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) announced a provisional and unaudited revenue of Rs 30,400 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, slightly up from Rs 30,381 crore in the previous year. This achievement comes in the face of delivery shortfalls for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), attributed to engine unavailability and a fleet grounding incident.

Overcoming Challenges with Strategic Deliveries

HAL CMD DK Sunil highlighted the company's strategy to accelerate deliveries of other products and services to maintain its top-line revenue. The PSU has also made significant strides in expanding its production capacities and securing new contracts, positioning itself for a stronger performance in the upcoming fiscal year.

Expanding Order Book and Production Capacities

With an order book now exceeding Rs 1.8-lakh-crore, HAL has established additional production lines for the LCA and HTT-40 trainer aircraft, alongside enhancing aero engine manufacturing capabilities. The year also saw HAL securing manufacturing contracts worth over Rs 1-lakh-crore and Repair and Overhaul (ROH) contracts valued at Rs 17,500 crore.
