Vanguard's Strategic Expansion into Hyderabad
Global investment giant Vanguard is set to establish its first global tech development centre in India, with Hyderabad chosen as the location. This move marks a significant step in Vanguard's global expansion strategy, focusing on cutting-edge technologies.

Meeting with Telangana's Chief Minister
Salim Ramji, Vanguard's global CEO, led a delegation to meet with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The discussions centered around Vanguard's ambitious plans for Hyderabad, including the creation of a tech development hub that will employ 2,300 tech professionals over the next few years.
Focus on Advanced Technologies
The Hyderabad centre will specialize in AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud engineering, mobile engineering, and cybersecurity, according to Venkatesh Natarajan, who will head the facility. Nitin Tandon, Vanguard's global chief information officer, shared that hiring will commence by mid-2025, starting with hundreds of positions and scaling up to 1,000 by the end of 2026.
Vanguard's Global Footprint
With over $10 trillion in assets under management globally, Vanguard's entry into Hyderabad underscores the city's growing reputation as a tech hub. The investment firm currently collaborates with partners like Deloitte, Cap Gemini, TCS, and Infosys in India.
