No Change in Small Savings Schemes' Rates
The Finance Ministry has announced that the interest rates on various small savings schemes, including the Public Provident Fund (PPF) and National Savings Certificate (NSC), will remain unchanged for the fifth consecutive quarter starting April 1, 2025.

According to the notification, the Sukanya Samriddhi scheme will continue to offer an interest rate of 8.2%, while the three-year term deposit rate stays at 7.1%. Similarly, the rates for the PPF and post office savings deposit schemes have been maintained at 7.1% and 4%, respectively.
