Tamil Nadu's beloved dairy brand, Milky Mist, is setting its sights on a nationwide presence through strategic partnerships and manufacturing expansion. With an IPO on the horizon, the company remains steadfast in its focus on value-added dairy products, steering clear of the liquid milk market.

Product Portfolio and Manufacturing Growth
Under the leadership of CEO Dr K Rathnam, Milky Mist is diversifying its product range to include yogurts, chocolates, paneer, and more. The company is also doubling its production capacity at the Coimbatore facility, aiming for 2.5 million litres a day. Despite past challenges in establishing new sites, the focus remains on brand building and market penetration.
Brand Footprint and Export Strategy
With over 2,000 distributors nationwide and a strong presence in the South, Milky Mist is expanding into the West and Northeast. Internationally, the brand is making waves in 20 countries, with exports contributing 5% to its revenue. Targeting a turnover of Rs 2,400 crore, Milky Mist is keen on increasing its global footprint, especially in GCC countries.
