Vodafone Idea Launches 5G Services in Mumbai
After a long wait, Vodafone Idea is finally stepping into the 5G era, starting its high-speed network services in Mumbai today. This move comes more than two-and-a-half years after its competitors, Airtel and Reliance Jio, began their 5G services. The company plans to expand its 5G network to Delhi, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Patna, and Mysore by the end of next month.

Targeting High 5G Device Concentration Areas: Vodafone Idea is strategically launching its 5G services in cities with a significant number of customers owning 5G mobile devices. "Currently, 5G services are prioritised in areas with high concentrations of 5G devices. Expansion will continue in alignment with the growth of 5G device adoption and service demand," said CTO Jagbir Singh.
Introductory 5G Plans: The company is introducing unlimited data tariffs starting at Rs 299 for its 5G services. This initiative is part of Vodafone Idea's strategy to strengthen its network to meet the increasing demand for high bandwidth applications, including streaming, gaming, and real-time cloud access.
