Spain's Inflation Hits 3% in February

The National Statistics Institute (INE) of Spain has confirmed that the annual inflation rate for February reached 3%, aligning with the preliminary estimates. This marks a slight increase from the previous month's 2.9%, indicating a steady rise in consumer prices.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices saw a 0.4% increase. Core consumer prices, which exclude volatile items such as food and energy, experienced a 2.2% annual rise and a 0.3% monthly growth, highlighting underlying inflation pressures.

Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) Overview

The HICP, a measure used to compare inflation across the European Union, also showed a 0.4% monthly increase and a 2.9% annual rise in February, further emphasizing the upward trend in prices within Spain.
