Daimler Truck has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024, revealing a revenue of €14.3 billion. This represents a 4% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year, yet it still managed to exceed analysts' expectations.

The adjusted EBIT saw a significant drop of 29% year-over-year, amounting to €1.1 billion. Moreover, the earnings per share experienced a 36% decline, settling at €0.95. Despite these figures, the company observed a 15% annual increase in incoming orders, totaling 124,046 units, even though group sales fell by 11% to 124,386 units in the fourth trimester.

2025 Outlook and Market Performance

Looking ahead to 2025, Daimler Truck anticipates an adjusted return on sales ranging between 8% and 10%, contingent upon macroeconomic and geopolitical developments. CEO Karin Radstrom highlighted the strong performance of Trucks North America and Daimler Buses, alongside Mercedes-Benz Trucks' success in Brazil, despite facing weak demand in its European core markets. Trucks Asia also delivered solid operating results amidst ongoing market challenges.
