Rolls-Royce Secures Landmark Deal with EU Commission for Emergency Power Solutions

Rolls-Royce Powers Up EU Commission's Emergency Backup

Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC has proudly announced a significant agreement with the European Commission. The deal involves supplying two advanced mtu Series 4000 generator sets, designed to serve as emergency backup power for the Commission's facility in Luxembourg. This partnership underscores Rolls-Royce's commitment to supporting critical infrastructure with reliable and high-quality power solutions.

Energolux, Rolls-Royce's on-site partner, has already installed two gensets of the type 20V4000 DS2750. These units boast a maximum output of 2,640 kilovolt-amperes (kVA), operating as high-performance diesel generators. This installation is a testament to the trust and confidence placed in Rolls-Royce's technology and expertise.

Vittorio Pierangeli, Vice President Global Powergen at Rolls-Royce's Power Systems division, expressed pride in the contribution of mtu emergency gensets to the operational reliability of the European Commission. "This achievement is a clear indication of our customers' trust in the quality and reliability of our products. It aligns perfectly with our strategy to safeguard critical infrastructure," Pierangeli stated.
