HDFC Bank Launches Veteran Support Initiative with IAF and CSC Academy

HDFC Bank Partners with IAF and CSC Academy for Veteran Support

Mumbai: In a significant move to support retired defence personnel and their families, HDFC Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Air Force (IAF) and CSC Academy. This collaboration has led to the launch of Project HAKK (Hawai Anubhavi Kalyan Kendra), an initiative designed to provide comprehensive financial and administrative support.

Project HAKK aims to establish 25 centers across Air Force units in key cities including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Secunderabad, Guwahati, Jodhpur, and Chandigarh. These centers will offer a range of services to assist veterans and their families, including banking, pension-related issues, and essential documentation services. From Aadhaar updates to PAN card applications, passport services, and bill payments, the initiative seeks to streamline processes that previously required multiple visits to different offices.

Under its Parivartan programme, HDFC Bank will also provide skill development and financial training to help veterans and their families manage their finances more effectively. Additionally, CSC Academy will train individuals to manage the centers, who will receive a monthly grant for the first year. This initiative is a step towards simplifying pension and settlement-related processes, ensuring that ex-servicemen and their families can access necessary services more efficiently.
