Alibaba and Apple's Groundbreaking AI Collaboration

In a significant development, Alibaba Group Holding Limited has officially announced its partnership with Apple Inc. This collaboration aims to integrate Alibaba's advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into iPhones across China, marking a pivotal moment in tech innovation.

Joseph Tsai, Chairman of Alibaba, expressed his honor in partnering with Apple, stating, "They talked to a number of companies in China. In the end, they chose to do business with us. They want to use our AI to power their phones. We feel extremely honored to do business with a great company like Apple." Furthermore, Tsai reflected on the competitive landscape, mentioning that Alibaba was chosen over Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Basic Technology Research Co., Ltd., known as DeepSeek. He acknowledged DeepSeek's contribution to the value of open source, which has been instrumental in shaping Alibaba's approach to AI development. Alibaba recently unveiled a new version of its Qwen 2.5 AI model, asserting its superiority over DeepSeek's V3, showcasing the company's commitment to leading AI innovation.
