Robust Growth in Manufacturing Sector
In January, the manufacturing sector in India experienced its highest activity level in six months, driven by a significant increase in exports and new orders. This growth has also led to an uptick in employment within the sector, according to a recent survey.

Behind the Numbers
The HSBC India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 57.7 in January from December's one-year low of 56.4, indicating a strong recovery. Manufacturers reported a substantial increase in new orders, attributing this growth to improved domestic demand and a surge in overseas sales.
